General Pathologist

Position: Pathologist

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Provide anatomic and clinical pathology services.
• Complete reads, sign-outs, and result communication on time.
• Document care in the EHR with timely, accurate notes.
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and patient safety reporting.
• Attend staff meetings and support trainee education as needed.
• Follow Joint Commission and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
• American Board of Pathology board certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileging.

Health, Training, and Compliance

• Complete required annual trainings.
• Meet immunization and screening requirements: TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, annual Influenza.
• Follow confidentiality and information security policies.

Preferred

• Experience in a large health system.
• Experience supervising trainees and supporting quality improvement.
