General Practitioner

The General Practitioner (GP) at Ibn Sina Medical Center will provide high-quality, patient-centered primary healthcare services to individuals and families. The GP will assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of medical conditions while ensuring compliance with the standards of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH). The role requires a compassionate approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering safe and effective care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical consultations and physical examinations for patients of all ages.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic illnesses in line with clinical guidelines.
• Prescribe and monitor medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Request and interpret diagnostic investigations such as laboratory tests and imaging.
• Provide preventive health advice, vaccinations, and wellness education to patients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in accordance with DOH regulations.
• Collaborate with other physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
• Refer patients to specialist care or hospitals when clinically appropriate.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, clinical audits, and continuous professional development (CPD).
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and ethical standards as per Ibn Sina Medical Center and DOH policies.
