Position Overview
The General Sales Manager plays a key role in maximizing dealership profitability through effective finance product sales, managing the customer purchase process, and leading sales initiatives. You will bridge the gap between sales and finance—overseeing the deal from initial customer engagement to final delivery and protection package presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end sales and F&I process for all customers.
- Structure, negotiate, and finalize vehicle sales and financing deals in compliance with company and legal standards.
- Present and sell F&I products (service contracts, GAP, tire/wheel protection, etc.) with a focus on customer value and transparency.
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed performance goals.
- Ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are met for every transaction.
- Collaborate with lenders and finance partners to secure optimal terms for customers.
- Maintain detailed performance reports and identify areas for revenue growth and efficiency improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with current financing options, dealership software, and regulatory changes affecting F&I.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive F&I and sales management. F&I experience REQUIRED.
- Proven success in closing deals and achieving profitability goals.
- Strong knowledge of automotive financing, lending institutions, and aftermarket protection products.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM and dealership management systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
