General Shop Laborer and Mechanic Helper

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment and machinery
• Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing tools, parts, and supplies for efficient workflow
• Use basic testing tools diagnose electrical issues under supervision
• Support the inspection of equipment for wear and tear, documenting findings accurately
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
• Help with loading, unloading, and moving parts or materials around the shop as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Willingness to learn mechanical procedures and safety practices in a hands-on environment
• Basic familiarity with tools such is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on safety and quality workmanship
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
• Prior experience in a shop or mechanical environment is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key
