- Perform elective and emergency surgeries following clinical and aseptic protocols.
- Evaluate patients pre-operatively, interpret diagnostics (X-ray, CT, MRI, USG, labs), and prepare surgical plans.
- Manage intra-operative procedures including hemostasis, tissue handling, laparoscopic and open surgical techniques.
- Handle post-operative care: pain management, infection control, drain/suture management, and complication prevention.
- Attend emergency surgical cases (acute abdomen, trauma, perforation, hemorrhage) and perform life-saving interventions.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, and nursing teams for integrated patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, NABH standards, and surgical safety checklists.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and training of junior doctors / RMO teams.
