General Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable general technician to join our hotel maintenance team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining hotel facilities, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently, and responding promptly to maintenance requests to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repair

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel facilities.
• Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting works.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

Electrical & Mechanical Works

• Maintain lighting systems, power outlets, switches, and electrical equipment.
• Inspect and repair pumps, motors, water heaters, and other mechanical systems.
• Assist with air conditioning and ventilation maintenance.

Plumbing Works

• Repair leaks, faucets, flush systems, pipelines, and drainage issues.
• Ensure proper operation of water supply and sanitation systems.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow hotel safety procedures and maintenance standards.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Report major maintenance issues to the maintenance supervisor or engineering manager.

Record Keeping

• Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
• Report spare parts requirements and inventory needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a general technician, maintenance technician, or similar role.
• Experience in hotels, hospitality, or facility management preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting works.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical diploma or ITI certification in electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
• UAE experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of hotel maintenance systems and equipment.
