General/Maintenance Machinist

We are seeking a motivated and experienced full-time machinist to join our team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

- Operate machine tools and equipment, such as manual lathes, mills, drill presses, precision grinders, cut-off saws, etc.

- Machine all types of materials without assistance.

- Repair/Rebuild dies and components

- Provide training and assistance to lower level conventional machinists as necessary.

- Adhere to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility, including wearing proper PPE

- Maintains a safe and clean work area; ensure machines are cleaned and maintained

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills Able to read drawings or work from hand sketches

Leadership and mentoring abilities and willing to train other employees as needed

Ability to lift up to 50lb occasionally

Strong attention to detail and experience in advanced detailed machining (precision tools use a must!)

Required Experience 3-6+ years of proven machining experience

Tool and die/sheet metal experience a big +

Excellent coordination and mechanical skills

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Bilingual a plus! (Spanish/English)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred (AA/AS a+) or equivalent proven work experience

Machine shop/sheet metal fabrication setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking tools

Pay: $26.76 - $28.00 per hour
