Genetic Counselor (Jeddah - Riyadh)

Job Summary : This position is responsible for facilitating the genetic testing process.

Duties & responsibilities :

1. Ensure compliance with current safety requirements.
2. Contact patients to address their concerns.
3. Participate in CME programs.
4. Attend regular laboratory meetings.
5. Perform other duties as assigned by the unit head.
6. Act as an intermediary between clinicians and molecular & cytogenetic laboratories to facilitate the genetic testing process, including handling and prioritizing requests for whole exome sequencing and targeted mutation testing.

Knowledge and Abilities :

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated mentoring, coaching, influencing, negotiating, and personal interaction skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent basic computer skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.

Certification / Licensures :

Certification by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties.

Requirements :

• Master's degree in Genetic Counselling.
