A Higher Secondary Geography Teacher is responsible for teaching advanced concepts related to physical, human, and environmental geography to students in classes 11 and 12. The teacher designs effective lesson plans, prepares teaching materials, and uses maps, models, and digital tools to create an engaging learning environment. They conduct classroom discussions, practical sessions, and field activities to help students understand geographical processes and global issues. The teacher evaluates students through tests, assignments, and projects, provides academic support when needed, and maintains accurate records of student progress. They also participate in curriculum development, coordinate with other faculty members, and stay updated with current educational practices and geographical trends.

Job Role (Key Responsibilities)

  • Teach higher secondary students topics in physical, human, and environmental geography.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, maps, charts, and digital presentations.
  • Conduct interactive classes, discussions, and geography-related activities.
  • Organize field trips, surveys, and practical work to enhance learning.
  • Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to help students improve academically.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Update students’ academic records and report progress to parents when required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and school events.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in geography and teaching methods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
