Job Title: Geography Teacher (Secondary – British Curriculum)
To deliver high-quality Geography education in accordance with the British National Curriculum, fostering students’ understanding of physical and human geography, environmental awareness, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum (Key Stages 3–5, as applicable).
- Teach physical, human, and environmental geography using inquiry-based and student-centered approaches.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and external examinations (IGCSE/GCSE/A Level, where applicable).
- Integrate fieldwork, map skills, GIS tools, and real-world case studies into teaching.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Design and administer formative and summative assessments.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress accurately and timely.
- Use assessment data to inform lesson planning and support student improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Curriculum & Professional Responsibilities
- Contribute to curriculum development, lesson resources, and departmental planning.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, attendance, and assessment data.
- Support school policies related to safeguarding, behavior management, and academic integrity.
Student Support & Pastoral Care
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Act as a form tutor or mentor when required.
- Encourage global citizenship, environmental responsibility, and sustainability awareness.
