Job Overview
American Geosciences is a leading environmental consulting firm with more than 35 years experience. This is a mid-level opportunity for a candidate with five to eight years of experience. We specialize in site investigation and site remediation services. We are a boutique firm solely focused on environmental consulting for prominent private-sector clients.

Work/Life Balance

A 40 hr. work week is routine with very few overnight trips. AGI's staff is comprised of highly accomplished and well-respected professionals, some with a 25-year history at AGI. Responsibilities

  • Phase II Site Investigations: Install wells, sample soil and groundwater, coordinate field activities, trouble-shoot situations, interact with subcontractors, etc.
  • Site Remediation: Work with Project Managers to implement cleanup plans and install treatment systems.
  • Asbestos, Mold, Indoor Air Quality: Develop plans, sample, write reports, interact with site personnel.
  • Write: Consolidate field/analytical data, apply regulatory standards, prepare figures/tables, and prepare reports.
  • Phase I ESAs: Assist in preparing Phase I reports.
  • Project Support: Write health and safety plans, gather pricing information, schedule subcontractors, order supplies, etc.
  • Team Work: Train and direct work of junior staff. Assist Project Managers.
  • Client Communication: Periodically meet with clients or building managers on site.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of environmental consulting focused on site investigations and remediation.
  • Writing: Strong technical writing abilities for preparing comprehensive reports, proposals, and documentation.
  • Mechanical knowledge: Skilled using environmental monitoring equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
