Geotechnical Driller

Geotechnical Drilling is looking for a Driller to join our Las Vegas office.

SUMMARY:

The Geotechnical Driller manages the rig operations, project coordination, communicates effectively with management, clients, and coworkers, and supervises and directs driller's helper and subcontractors. The driller ensures that equipment is maintained and operated properly and safely. This requires experience in most job functions with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience necessary.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

General drilling and mechanical knowledge
Assist in evaluation and preparation of project scopes and budgets
Performing geotechnical drilling exploration duties including rotary (air and mud), auger, and coring
Onsite problem solving
Effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and other employees
Organizing and scheduling of drilling project work
Ensure upkeep and proper maintenance of all drilling equipment is strictly followed
Ensure proper housekeeping practices are adhered to in shop
Training and mentoring junior drillers and drillers helpers and promoting their advancement in skills and responsibility
Ensure that all appropriate safety protocols are followed both in shop and in field

REQUIRMENTS:

Valid Driver's License.

Clean driving record

CDL and tanker endorsement is a plus

Must be able to lift 60 plus pounds throughout the day

Ability to accomplish tasks under adverse weather and/or site conditions.

Good or corrected vision and manual dexterity.
