Geotechnical Engineer - P.E.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting for both vertical and horizontal construction projects, including foundations, retaining structures, roadways, bridges, and soil improvement systems.

This position plays a key role in developing scopes of work for geotechnical investigations, preparing reports, coordinating field exploration programs, and providing technical support for Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Geotechnical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee geotechnical investigations, including soil borings, laboratory testing, and related field services.
• Analyze subsurface data and prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, pavement design, and earth-retaining structures.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical data to ensure design compliance.
• Provide technical input for RFQs, SOQs, and project proposals related to CMT and geotechnical projects.
• Coordinate with field staff, laboratory personnel, and project managers to ensure quality and consistency in deliverables.
• Serve as a technical resource to internal teams and clients regarding soil mechanics, foundation systems, and ground improvement methods.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety protocols.

Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, GeoStudio, SLIDE, LPILE, SLOPE/W, Settle3).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
