The candidate must have a degree in geology (BSc) with a high degree in geotechnical (MSc or PhD) with a minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant field. This role include but is not limited to the following:
- Planning and supervising soil, rock, and groundwater investigations.
- Interpreting field and laboratory test results of soil samples
- Assessing soil and rock properties for stability, bearing capacity, and settlement and preparing l reports and recommendations.
- Providing input on mitigation for geotechnical risks such as landslides and sinkholes.
- Providing guidance on excavation, dewatering, shoring, and earthwork operations.
- Supporting project teams in resolving geotechnical issues.
- Reviewing design documents and construction methodologies for geotechnical studies.
- Identifying and evaluating potential geotechnical hazards and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Ensuring works comply with relevant KSA codes and regulations
