Duties
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of gifted students, incorporating curriculum development best practices.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies including project-based learning, inquiry-based activities, and technology integration to promote active engagement.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing, portfolios, and performance tasks.
- Provide mentorship and individualized support to foster social-emotional development alongside academic achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists in special education or early childhood education to create comprehensive support plans.
- Incorporate literacy education, math enrichment, and learning technology tools to enhance student learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or early intervention practices.
- Support inclusive education by working with children with autism or other learning differences through tailored instructional approaches.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as library services, standardized testing preparation, or curriculum review committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; GaPSC certification in gifted education.
- Proven classroom experience working with students identified as gifted or talented across various age groups.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, tutoring, and literacy education is essential.
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used for differentiated instruction and assessment.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for children with diverse needs including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Knowledge of private school standards and Montessori educational philosophies is a plus.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
