GL Restaurant Group Hiring HR / Restaurant HR Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, execution-driven, and strategic HR professional to join GL Restaurant Group as our HR / Restaurant HR Manager.

In this pivotal role, you will lead and optimize all human resources functions across multiple restaurant outlets — from manpower planning and performance systems to training execution and service standardization.

This is not a traditional HR role. You will play a key role in maximizing workforce productivity, strengthening store-level execution, and building a scalable people system that supports rapid business growth.

Your work will directly impact operational excellence, talent development, and overall service quality across the group.

Key Responsibilities1. Manpower Planning & Scheduling

  • Oversee staffing allocation across all outlets (front-of-house / kitchen / part-time / full-time)
  • Optimize scheduling structure based on peak vs. off-peak productivity
  • Ensure labor cost aligns with revenue performance (Labor Cost Control)
  • Support workforce planning using data and operational insights

2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber candidates
  • Manage sourcing channels, interviews, and hiring processes
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration
  • Build structured onboarding systems (7-day / 14-day training model)

3. Performance Management & Manager Oversight

  • Develop and implement performance evaluation systems (staff + managers)
  • Key metrics include: Service Quality, Sales Performance, Cost Control, Attendance, Training Completion
  • Monitor outlet managers’ execution, scheduling effectiveness, and leadership capability
  • Establish promotion pipelines (e.g., Top Performers → Assistant Managers → Managers)
  • Implement monthly scorecards and ranking systems

4. Training & Development System

  • Build and manage structured training systems (online + in-store SOPs)
  • Ensure training is not only designed but effectively executed on the ground
  • Develop leadership training and succession planning programs
  • Track training performance and continuous improvement

5. Front-of-House Service Excellence

  • Standardize service procedures (ordering, upselling, communication, complaint handling)
  • Utilize Secret Shopper insights and service data to refine processes
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure consistency across outlets

6. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Develop and implement HR policies aligned with business goals and labor regulations
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs where applicable
  • Ensure compliance with employment and workplace safety regulations
  • Utilize HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors) for reporting and optimization

7. Organizational Development & Execution

  • Support management in organizational design and process improvements
  • Drive a high-performance culture across all outlets
  • Lead change management initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the F&B / restaurant industry (mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of outlet operations, scheduling, and labor cost control
  • Experience in talent acquisition, training, and performance management
  • Hands-on, execution-focused mindset (able to implement, not just plan)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple outlets
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and translate insights into action

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in HR / Operations / Training within chain restaurant brands
  • Experience building performance evaluation systems from scratch
  • Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience)

Pay: $45,000.00 - $61,531.03 per year
