Glass installer assistant

Duties

• Assist with the measurement, cutting, and fabrication of glass components using hand tools and power tools under supervision
• Support the installation of glass panels, mirrors, doors, windows, and fixtures on construction sites or remodeling projects
• Handle heavy lifting and positioning of glass materials safely and efficiently
• Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces
• Read schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate placement
• Use levels
• Support the team in performing quality checks, cleaning work sites, and maintaining safety protocols throughout all activities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience or familiarity with construction site work is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures in construction environments
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
