We are looking for an experienced Glazier, preferably with Foreman experience. We specifically are looking for someone with high attention to detail & capability with all types Commercial Glazing, including door applications & hardware.

Dahl Glass does commercial & residential work. We run a commercial crew of 4 to 6 glaziers & are active in training younger helpers starting out & learning the trade. Our focus is obtaining work in the Kitsap & surrounding areas, with Tacoma being second choice & some work in Edmonds/Alderwood & Seattle. Our work is varied, with frequent service work repairing broken & failed glass as well as worn out doors & hardware. We do a lot of basic storefront but don't shy away from glass office partitions, glass railings, shower doors, or canopies. Candidates should be proficient in all these areas.

Familiarity with & ability to read & understand shop drawings & plans along with other construction procedures is critical. All good glaziers should be precise in their work with great attention to detail. We value quality work & have many repeat GCs who use us regularly.

We are a versatile shop that does commercial, service, & residential work throughout the Kitsap region. Candidates must be willing to travel to a scheduled job site within our service area & have reliable transportation to our shop in Poulsbo. We do try to keep our work as close as possible & most of the time you will report to our shop. All applicants must be local to the area – no per-diem is being offered. The work schedule is on a 4/10s basis with OT available & prevailing wage depending on the job. We have ongoing service & contract work on the local Naval bases & candidates must be able to pass a background check to get badging for access. Candidates will need to be able to meet scheduling requirements without restrictions. Quality work is our strong point & we will expect quality work from candidates.

Job Requirements

  • Leadership ability & potential with a teaching attitude.
  • High attention to detail & making sure that what comes our of our shop gets installed by the field crew without a hitch.
  • Reliability. Show up to work on time so that your co-workers can rely on you.
  • Follow instructions & pay attention. Have a learning mindset.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects such as IGUs, windows, & aluminum framing (Must be able to lift 50 lbs routinely).
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and accurately cut materials.
  • Have required tools for the trade.
  • Experience with power tools and safety practices.
  • Must be comfortable with heights.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • OSHA & Lift Certifications.

Qualifications

  • No significant issues with a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass a Drug Test
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites or shop
  • Professional appearance and personality (Dressed for work every day: pants, boots, PPE, etc.)
  • Proven job longevity is a must
  • Reliable attendance is a must

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Relevant glazing & construction experience

Required language:

  • English

Required license or certification:

  • Driver's License

Pay:

  • Competitive and based on experience: Starting at $18/hr for Entry Level Candidates
