Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glazier/Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining glass and related materials across various construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in glass installation, fabrication, and construction to deliver high-quality results efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and cut glass or other materials accurately based on project specifications using hand tools and power tools.
  • Install glass panels, windows, doors, mirrors, and other fixtures following blueprints and schematics.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation.
  • Use caulking, sealing, and finishing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic quality.
  • Handle heavy lifting safely while managing the assembly of glass fixtures or framing components on-site.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in glass installation, fabrication, or related construction fields.
  • Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and heavy equipment for lifting or assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety procedures; experience working on active job sites preferred.
  • Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights when necessary.

Compensation

  • In addition to the hourly rate, District Council 4 Glaziers will receive a comprehansive benefit package totaling an additional $28/hour including retirement and training and paid time off.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
