Global Director of Critical Partnerships

Work Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid-two days in office/week)
Reports to: SVP, Global Member and Partner Development
Travel: Up to 25% (Domestic & international)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Director of Critical Partnerships is a senior individual contributor within the membership organization, responsible for managing and expanding FS-ISAC's most strategic member and partner relationships. The role is heavily weighted toward account management, ensuring member retention, engagement, and value realization, with a focused business development component tied primarily to expansion within existing accounts and select strategic growth opportunities. This role serves as a key interface between FS-ISAC and its highest-value members, ensuring alignment between member needs and the organization's intelligence, community, and engagement offerings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategic Member & Partner Management (90%)

  • Own a portfolio of critical global member institutions and strategic partners, acting as the primary relationship lead within the Membership organization.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that drive
  • Retention and renewal
  • Increased utilization of FS-ISAC offerings
  • Deeper engagement across communities, intelligence sharing, and events
  • Build trusted relationships with senior member stakeholders (e.g., CISO, cyber risk, fraud, resilience leaders).
  • Serve as the voice of the member internally, ensuring alignment of services, programs, and priorities with member needs.
  • Monitor account health through defined metrics (engagement, participation, renewal risk) and take proactive action.
  • Lead executive business reviews (EBRs) and strategic check-ins with key accounts.
  • Partner closely with internal teams (intelligence, community engagement, events, product, operations) to deliver a cohesive and high-value member experience.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to member satisfaction and retention.

Targeted Growth & Expansion

  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing member accounts, including increased
participation, additional services, or broader organizational engagement.
  • Support onboarding and integration of new strategic members in collaboration with membership and business development teams.
  • Contribute selectively to new member acquisition efforts, particularly for high-value or globally strategic institutions.
  • Provide market and member insights to inform membership growth strategy.

Leadership & Organizational Impact

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the VP, Membership, providing insight into member trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Influence cross-functional priorities based on member feedback and evolving industry needs.
  • Represent FS-ISAC in member-facing forums, industry engagements, and global events.
  • Reinforce a member-centric culture grounded in collaboration, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in account management, member success, and/or strategic partnerships.
  • Previous experience working with global financial institutions and/or cybersecurity organizations.|
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, enterprise-level relationships.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in retention, engagement, and account growth.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a mission-driven, membership-based organization

Preferred

  • Experience in financial services, cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or operational risk.
  • Familiarity with information-sharing communities or consortium models.
  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization

This is a hybrid position (must report to Reston VA headquarters, two days per week).
