Job Function

Reporting into the Global VP of EHS, the Global Director of Environmental will be based out of Houston, Texas (Remote/Hybrid).

Responsibilities

  • Leads creation and implementation of the Global Environmental KPI Reports/Performance.

  • Lead investigator internally for any Environmental Notice(s) as part of the Incident Review Council (IRC).

  • Mentors and trains the team in understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, methodology and basic environmental requirements.

  • Leads and develops the Vibrantz Internal Audits for global sites on environmental audits with an aim to resource auditing activities for our sites on closure of open action items

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all organizational levels.

  • Participate and serve as lead reviewer for site closures or permit requirement transfers within the business.

  • Support site EHS Managers with validation and accountability of the use of Vibrantz’s Global Compliance Calendar.

  • Support proactive improvement use of Vector.

  • Assure that utmost care and compliance is instituted by all department managers regarding environmental compliance.

  • Implement and lead Environmental and Compliance assurance program.

  • Serve as the primary local contact with regulatory agencies on environmental matters while supporting operations in responses for all global facilities.

  • Ability to work cross functionally to drive accountability with a trust but verify environment.

  • Partners with legal through compliance initiatives to improve collaboration as ONE Vibrantz.

  • Lead the implementation of Vibrantz’s global environmental program

Required Experience

  • B.S. in Life Sciences or Environmental Engineering or equivalent technical experience.

  • 7-10 years experience in a life sciences environment with specific background in environmental compliance in air, water, and solid waste.

  • Knowledge of systems, audits, regulatory, environmental engineering, statistics and analytical methods.

  • Ability to drive change and work across regions/business units to ensure Vibrantz operates as corporate stewards in our communities.

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional global organization structure with strong interpersonal skills to develop strong partnerships.

  • Strong problem analysis and root cause problem solving.

  • Travel Required (40-60%)
