Position Title: Global Perspectives Teacher (Cambridge Curriculum)

Role Overview
The Cambridge Global Perspectives Teacher is responsible for delivering an interdisciplinary curriculum that develops students’ research, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and reflective skills. The role focuses on guiding learners to explore global issues from local, national, and international perspectives while fostering responsible global citizenship.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Planning & Delivery
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the Cambridge Global Perspectives framework (Primary, Lower Secondary, and/or IGCSE).
- Design inquiry-based learning experiences around global themes and real-world issues.
- Guide students in developing research questions, investigations, and project-based learning tasks.
- Integrate interdisciplinary links with subjects such as English, Science, Humanities, and ICT.
Teaching & Learning
- Foster critical thinking, analysis, and evaluation of multiple perspectives.
- Encourage student voice, collaboration, discussion, and reflective learning.
- Support students in developing communication skills through presentations, debates, and reports.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and ethical understanding.
Assessment & Moderation
- Conduct formative and summative assessments aligned with Cambridge assessment objectives.
- Assess student work using Cambridge rubrics, particularly for research reports, team projects, and reflections.
- Support internal moderation and maintain assessment documentation.
- Guide students in preparing portfolios and coursework (where applicable).
Skill Development & Student Support
- Develop students’ skills in research, analysis, collaboration, and self-reflection.
- Support learners in time management, teamwork, and independent learning.
- Provide targeted feedback to support academic and skills-based growth.
- Collaborate with SEN/learning support teams when required.
Professional Collaboration
- Work closely with Academic Coordinators and subject teachers to ensure curriculum coherence.
- Participate in planning meetings, professional learning communities, and Cambridge training.
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives related to global citizenship and sustainability.
- Support school events, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary projects.
Parent & School Engagement
- Communicate learning objectives and student progress effectively with parents.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and academic discussions.
- Uphold school values, safeguarding policies, and professional conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed / M.Ed / PGCE or equivalent).
- 2–5 years of experience teaching Cambridge Global Perspectives or similar inquiry-based programmes.
- Strong understanding of Cambridge assessment objectives and learner skills.
