ob Summary:
The Global Perspectives Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop students’ research, analysis, reflection, and collaboration skills. The teacher will guide students to understand global issues from multiple perspectives—social, cultural, environmental, political, and economic—aligned with the Cambridge and British curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for Global Perspectives (Key Stage 3 and/or IGCSE levels).
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent research skills in students.
- Design projects, presentations, and assessments that promote teamwork and global awareness.
- Integrate technology and multimedia tools to enhance inquiry-based learning.
- Encourage discussion and debate on current global issues (e.g., sustainability, equality, cultural diversity, globalisation).
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Assessment and Reporting
- Develop and administer formative and summative assessments in line with curriculum standards.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Prepare reports and participate in parent-teacher meetings as required.
Curriculum and Professional Development
- Contribute to curriculum planning and improvement for Global Perspectives.
- Stay up-to-date with Cambridge curriculum changes and educational best practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events.
