Role Overview
The Fleet Operation Head at S.G Green Logistics Pvt. Ltd will be responsible for end-to-end fleet management including vehicle movement, driver management, trip settlement, operational controls, manpower supervision, and handling shortages/damages. The role demands strong leadership, team management performance, client coordination, and the ability to optimize resources while ensuring compliance, safety, and service delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Movement
Ensure vehicle deployment at client sites or Railway Side within defined metrics.
Optimize vehicle utilization by reducing idle time through daily lane and fleet movement monitoring.
Conduct daily meetings with fleet coordinators or Operation to track vehicle status.
Manage fleet or crane deployment as per operational needs.
2. Driver Management
Oversee sourcing, hiring, and retention of drivers
Coordinate with Driver Cell for driver requirements and hiring needs.
Monitor driver behavior (on-route & off-route) and take corrective actions.
Design and implement driver engagement programs, policies, and training modules.
Ensure drivers’ compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
3. Fleet Operations
Lead and manage the Trip Settlement team.
Maintain and monitor trip time charts.
Ensure all trip settlements are closed financially within stipulated timelines .
Ensure timely submission and renewal of vehicle documents before expiry.
Support new network onboarding and management to expand operations efficiently.
5. Manpower & Team Management
Lead training and development initiatives for fleet team members.
Ensure strong team management performance by driving accountability, discipline, and motivation.
Manage, evaluate, and discipline team members to ensure productivity and compliance.
Supervise all fleet service employees, ensuring operational discipline and motivation.
Establish effective control mechanisms to monitor and improve productivity levels.
6. Client Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth operations.
Address client concerns, escalations, and requirements promptly.
Collaborate with clients for vehicle deployment, operational planning, and service improvements.
Ensure adherence to SLAs and improve client satisfaction scores. Primary Responsibilities Fleet Services Development.
Preparation and review of MIS & Reports.
Data analysis and continuous process improvement.
Automation of fleet operation processes.
Provide creative and innovative solutions for operational hurdles.
Client management and operational excellence.
Educational Qualification & Experience
Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
15-20 years of experience in fleet operations with at least 8-10years in a leadership role.
Experience in large-scale fleet handling, driver management, and client engagement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
