Position: General Manager – Human Resources (GM – HR)

Location: Gummidipoondi, Chennai
Industry: Polymer recycling Manufacturing

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager – HR to lead the Human Resources function at our manufacturing unit in Gummidipoondi. The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership track record in HR, IR, and compliance functions within a core manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the HR department and align HR strategies with business objectives.
• Oversee Industrial Relations (IR), handle union matters, and ensure harmonious workplace relations.
• Ensure 100% Legal and Statutory Compliance related to labour laws, PF, ESI, Factories Act, etc.
• Drive Talent Acquisition across all levels, ensuring the right fit for organizational needs.
• Implement and monitor KPI / KRA systems for performance management.
• Lead Training and Development initiatives, including Skill Gap Analysis and competency mapping.
• Manage and optimize HRIS / HRMS systems for efficient workforce management.
• Enhance Employee Engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
• Ensure smooth handling of Payroll, attendance, and shift management processes.
• Partner with leadership to develop HR strategies that promote productivity and employee satisfaction.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Minimum 10 years at a leadership level (CHRO / AGM HR / GM HR) in a manufacturing industry.
• Strong exposure to HR, IR, Legal Compliance, and People Management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Hands-on experience with labour management in plant operations.
• Strategic mindset with ability to execute at the ground level.

Education:

• MBA / MSW in Human Resource Management or equivalent.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.

Pay: ₹401,484.36 - ₹1,610,829.75 per year
