GENERAL MANAGER – OPERATIONS

MIDCITY Housing, a fast-growing group of companies with strong technical and financial backing, is seeking to employ a dynamic General Manager – Operations to lead the day-to-day operations and drive organizational efficiency, performance, and growth. The opportunity presents a profound challenge for a results-driven professional in the field of Operational Management, Organizational Development, and Business Excellence to transform the existing operational frameworks of MIDCITY (a group of private limited companies) into a world-class, competitive Real Estate Corporation. The position is based in Lahore.

Brief Job Description

The General Manager – Operations will be responsible for:

  • Operational Management & Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day operations of housing and real estate projects ensuring timely and quality execution.
  • Establish and enforce SOPs, workflows, and operational policies across all functions.
  • Monitor and manage resources, budgets, and timelines to achieve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Supervise procurement, inventory, vendor management, and contract administration.
  • Project Execution & Delivery
  • Ensure timely completion of housing and infrastructure projects within approved budgets.
  • Develop and implement quality control and assurance systems in line with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering, sales, and finance teams for smooth project delivery.
  • Regularly review project progress reports and mitigate risks to avoid delays.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, SECP, LDA, and environmental laws.
  • Maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all sites.
  • Develop a compliance matrix to meet both local and international industry standards.
  • Strategic Planning & Growth
  • Contribute to the design and execution of business development and expansion strategies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and operational evaluations for new ventures and projects.
  • Provide operational insights for investment, sales, and marketing decisions.
  • Performance & Financial Management
  • Develop, monitor, and evaluate KPIs and operational dashboards for continuous improvement.
  • Control operational costs while maintaining productivity and service quality.
  • Support the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal discipline.
  • Team Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team through mentorship, training, and capacity building.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
  • Establish succession planning for key operational roles.
  • Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and clients.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient handover and after-sales operations.
  • Represent MIDCITY Housing at external forums, regulatory meetings, and industry events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree (Preferably in Management, Business Administration, Engineering/Project Management).
  • Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in Operations/Project/Organizational Management.
  • Proven leadership record with national or international housing/real estate organizations.
  • Strong track record of strategy development, process improvement, and project delivery.
  • Hands-on knowledge of real estate compliance, construction operations, and regulatory approvals.
  • Exposure to sales, marketing, and customer service operations will be considered an advantage.

Age

  • Maximum 50 years at closing date of application.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs300,000.00 - Rs400,000.00 per month
