Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards and proper food handling procedures
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with sanitation standards
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability
• Support team members in maintaining restaurant sanitation, safety protocols, and food safety regulations

Experience

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast
• Experience in guest services, serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles will be advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Culinary or kitchen experience can be a plus for understanding food preparation processes
• Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations
