Golf Cart Mechanic, Driver, Detailer

Position Overview

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Golf Cart Technician who can handle both mechanical work and operational responsibilities. This is not a sit-back shop role—you’ll be expected to turn wrenches, represent the company in the field, and help maintain the overall appearance of the facility.

If someone is only interested in mechanics but not the physical and operational side of the job, this won’t be a fit.

Core Responsibilities

Mechanical / Technical Work

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electric and gas golf carts
• Perform routine service (batteries, brakes, controllers, wiring, etc.)
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and drivability issues
• Prepare carts for sale and delivery (inspection + quality control)

Pickup & Delivery

• Safely load, transport, and unload golf carts using truck and trailer
• Plan efficient pickup/delivery routes
• Interact professionally with customers during drop-offs and pickups
• Ensure carts are secured properly to prevent damage in transit

Facility & Grounds Maintenance

• Keep shop, yard, and showroom clean and organized
• Maintain outdoor areas (trash removal, basic landscaping upkeep, etc.)
• Ensure overall presentation of the business meets company standards

Requirements

• Mechanical experience (golf carts, small engines, automotive, or similar)
• Valid driver’s license (clean driving record required)
• Experience with towing trailers preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in Florida conditions
• Strong work ethic—this role requires initiative, not supervision
• Dependability and accountability are non-negotiable

What Matters (Read Carefully)

• This is a hybrid role: technician + driver + facility support
• Work is outdoors under a carport, not in an AC shop
• You’re expected to take ownership of your workspace and responsibilities
• If you’re looking for a purely mechanical or indoor position, this won’t be a fit
