Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and appearance of the golf course by mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing turf areas using hand tools and power equipment.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, aerating, and overseeding to promote lush greenery and vibrant landscapes.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks including trimming bushes, installing new landscaping features, or repairing equipment.
• Assist with planting flowers and shrubs, and laying sod; weeds and maintains flower beds; waters flowers, plants and grass.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, fellow employees and residents.

Skills

• Knowledge of the types and uses of mowing equipment and power tools commonly used in the maintenance of golf course grounds.
• Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control.
• Familiarity with gardening principles and horticulture best practices.
• Ability to operate hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, as well as power tools including trimmers, blowers, and small machinery.
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards of course quality.
