Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Duties

• Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to keep the course visually appealing and healthy
• Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules
• Assist with landscaping projects like planting new grass, shrubs, or trees to enhance course aesthetics
• Conduct regular turf care activities such as aeration, fertilization, overseeding, and pest control to promote healthy turf growth
• Support general maintenance tasks including repairing bunkers, pathways, or fencing as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities

Requirements

• Prior experience or interest in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in outdoor environments
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic land management practices is a plus
• Strong work ethic with physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward course upkeep
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn new skills related to golf course maintenance
