Golf Course Maintenance/Landscaping

Allegheny Country Club has an excellent opportunity available for a Golf Course Crew Member.

In this role you will (but not limited to):

The primary job function is to perform routine manual labor involved in maintaining the golf course.

• Perform semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work
• Operate mowers and string trimmers in cutting greens, aprons, collars, tees, hillsides, ditches, and around trees, fence lines, and banks
• Edge and assist with the maintenance of cart paths
• Edge, rake, and maintain sand bunkers
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels in equipment used on a daily basis
• Reports equipment problems/failure to the Equipment Manager immediately
• Assists with construction projects on and off of the golf course
• May be trained to operate mowers, dump trucks and other light equipment
• Clean maintenance area

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license
• Dependable and reliable: able to get to work on time, do assigned tasks and follow instructions
• Able to get along with co-workers and work as a team, as well as independently
• Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and temperatures
• This is a physical job in which 75% or more of the day is spent outdoors.

Job Hazards include, but not limited to:

• Exposure to poison ivy, pollen, insects, etc.
• Muscle strain, cuts, bruises and splinters
• Injury associate with use of lawn maintenance equipment
