Job Responsibilities:

Manage the first tee and ensure prompt tee off from any reserved tee time.

Record mode of transportation for every player.

Utilize Members First Tee Sheet Software on a provided iPad to track transportation and report tee off and round completion times.

Always remain at the starter station and communicate with the membership on special rules of the day.

Communicate with the Registrar and Professional Staff via radios regarding tee time reservations.

Keep the areas around the first tee, putting green, and The Shop tidy and clean.

Restock the starter station with tees, pencils, divot tools, ball markers, and scorecards on a daily basis.

Learn the Rules of Play for Medinah Country Club and enforce them with all members and guests.

Provide excellent customer service and always display a positive, professional attitude.

Work as a team player and communicate between the golf operation and other departments.
Ranger Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor the pace of play and emphasize the importance of playing ready golf to all members and guests.

Assist any player with their on-course needs by communicating these with the golf operation via radio communication.

Utilize Members First Tee Sheet Software to ensure members and guests are assigned to the appropriate group.

Report all pace of play issues/complaints to the Head Golf Professional or Director of Golf.

Record transportation for specific events and supply this information to either The Shop or the Members First Tee Sheet Software.

Determine a groups pace of play by using the resources that Members First Tee Sheet Software provides.

Act as an authority role with regards to adherence to the pace of play.
Education and Experience:
-
Valid driver's license required.

General knowledge of the game of golf is necessary.

Great customer service and interpersonal skills are vital to the success of this position.

Excellent communication skills between departments, members, and golf staff are vital to efficiency in the golf operation.

Previous high-end golf facility experience is preferred.

Must know how to drive a golf cart and be comfortable using an iPad.

Ability to enforce rules and ensure compliance is important.
