Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties of a GR Executive focus on managing incoming shipments and ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently:
- Receiving Shipments: Unloading delivery trucks and physically receiving incoming goods.
- Verification and Documentation: Comparing the physical count of items against purchase orders, packing lists, and advance shipment notices (ASN).
- Quality and Damage Checks: Inspecting incoming goods for any defects, damages, or discrepancies in count and reporting them.
- Inventory Management: Updating the inventory management system or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system with the received stock levels.
- Storage and Organization: Ensuring received goods are labeled correctly and moved to their designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Issue Resolution: Coordinating with suppliers, the purchasing department, and other internal teams to resolve any receiving issues, discrepancies, or damaged goods cases.
- Reporting: Preparing detailed reports on goods received (GR reports), receipt tickets (RT reports), and any related documentation for management and the accounts team.
In essence, the GR Executive plays a critical role in the initial stage of the supply chain within the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy from the moment goods arrive at the loading dock.
