Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Governess to join a private household, providing exceptional educational and childcare support for children of various ages. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to each child's age, interests, and learning needs, incorporating literacy, math, and other core subjects.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and educational technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and track progress effectively.
- Provide specialized support for children with disabilities or learning differences by adapting teaching methods and incorporating special education strategies.
- Manage classroom environments to foster positive behavior, encourage curiosity, and promote respect among children through effective classroom management techniques.
- Conduct regular assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor academic growth and identify areas for improvement.
- Offer tutoring sessions in reading, writing, math, or other subjects to reinforce learning outside of formal lessons.
- Support extracurricular activities such as library services or Montessori-based activities that enrich the child's educational experience.
Skills
- Extensive experience in childhood development with a solid understanding of behavioral management techniques.
- Proficiency in curriculum development across multiple disciplines including literacy education, math, and general classroom instruction.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technology tools to facilitate interactive lessons and progress tracking.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with children, parents, and other household staff.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs using tailored educational approaches.
- Knowledge of private school curricula, Montessori methods, or similar educational philosophies is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and maintaining detailed educational records.
