Job Description
I. JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Post-Closing Manager, reviews and submits FHA and VA loan files for insuring or guarantee.
II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Reviews for completion, a minimum of 10 assigned loan files per day and submits completed files for insuring/guarantee.
- Updates the government insuring exceptions log with regard to incomplete files and notifies appropriate party as to the documentation required for completion.
- Reviews and clears documentation received on incomplete loans.
- Corrects deficiencies and communicates with appropriate government agency to resolve issues.
- Processes principal reduction payments collected at closing prior to insuring or guarantee.
- Insures FHA loans online by updating FHA Connection and completing the appropriate insuring screens.
- Guarantees VA loans online by updating the VA portal and completing the appropriate screens.
- Reviews loans through FHA Connection to determine which files require a binder per HUD request.
- Submits FHA binder selections within the required timeframe, including audits, when appropriate.
- Submits loan note guarantees on USDA loans to the appropriate investor.
- Requests checks from accounting for USDA insuring; Sends check and package to the appropriate USDA office for insuring.
- Scans insuring follow-up documentation into XDocs.
- Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years related mortgage experience, required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Team player
- Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.
- Exhibit excellent PC skills.
- Demonstrated excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Display excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform a number of complex tasks simultaneously and effectively.
- Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours, arriving at scheduled reporting time and at the prescribed time after any breaks or lunch periods.
- Must be able to work overtime on short notice, as required.
