Government Sales Representative — W2 | Remote | High-Activity Commission Role Full-Time | Remote | Monday – Friday Compensation: $25,000 – $100,000+ per year

ABOUT US

We are a well-established government contractor and VAR supplying IT equipment, tactical gear, and hard-to-source products to federal and state agencies nationwide. We're expanding our sales team and looking for driven reps who want real upside with the stability of W2 employment.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

Most sales roles give you either stability or upside. This one gives you both — plus an industry that's structurally built for repeat business.

WHY GOVERNMENT SALES WORKS IN YOUR FAVOR

  • Your call list is free. SAM.gov gives you instant access to every federal buyer in the country at zero cost. Most industries charge $500–$2,000/month for that kind of prospect data.
  • Buyers come back. GPC cardholders who trust you call you back — often for years. The relationship compounds over time, meaning Year 2 is easier than Year 1.
  • No competing bids on micropurchases. Buyers with a GPC card can order directly from you without going through a procurement process, RFP, or committee. Close the relationship, close the order.
  • Tiered commissions reward volume. The more you generate, the higher your rate on your entire monthly total — not just the overage.

HOW YOU GET PAID

You receive a $1,500 monthly draw to start. Once your commission earnings exceed $1,500 in a given month, you move fully to commission — the draw is replaced by what you earn. There is no cap.

Commission tiers are based on monthly gross profit generated:

$0 – $5,999 ............. 25% $6,000 – $7,999 ........ 30% $8,000 – $11,999 ....... 35% $12,000 – $15,999 ...... 40% $16,000 – $19,999 ...... 45% $20,000 and above ....... 50%

The rate applies to your entire monthly total — not just the amount above the threshold. Crossing a tier is worth chasing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and maintain relationships with federal, state, and military buyers
  • Identify and pursue contract opportunities across agencies
  • Leverage SAM.gov to prospect and expand your book of business
  • Collaborate with our backend team for quoting, sourcing, and fulfillment — you focus on selling

WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN HERE

This is a high-activity role. Our top performers are on the phone and building relationships consistently throughout the month — not sporadically. We expect reps to treat this like the professional sales career it is: showing up every day, making calls, and putting in the volume that government sales rewards over time.

The federal buyers we work with are early. The best calling window is roughly 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM PST — by mid-afternoon, decision-makers are wrapping up and heading out. Reps who front-load their day and commit to sustained outreach during peak hours are the ones who compound their income year over year. If you're a morning person who thrives on momentum, you'll fit right in here.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven sales experience, ideally in government contracting or B2B
  • Self-motivated and disciplined in a fully remote environment — you manage your own day, but you manage it seriously
  • Strong relationship-building skills — you play the long game
  • Comfortable with high call volume as a core part of your daily routine
  • Familiarity with government procurement (FAR, GSA, SAM.gov) is a plus, not a requirement
