GPS Technician – Telematics Industry

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated GPS Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GPS telematics devices on various vehicles and equipment. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in the field while ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and test GPS tracking devices and telematics equipment on vehicles and assets.

Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of GPS devices and wiring.

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, wiring, and system connectivity.

Ensure proper integration of devices with telematics platforms and software systems.

Provide on-site technical support to clients and coordinate with the support team when needed.

Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service reports, and technical findings.

Follow safety standards and company protocols during fieldwork.

Support the development and implementation of best practices for installations and maintenance.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a GPS Technician or in a similar telematics/electrical installation role.

Strong technical knowledge of GPS devices, wiring, and vehicle electrical systems.

Hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of telematics hardware.

Familiarity with fleet management systems and telematics platforms is an advantage.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Valid UAE driving license preferred.
