Job Overview
Meluha International School, Nizamabad, is inviting applications from committed, student-centric, and well-qualified educators for the positions of Homeroom Teachers (All Subjects – Grades 1 to 7) and Primary & Middle School Coordinators to join our upcoming campus from the Academic Year 2026.
Homeroom Teachers (HRT) will be responsible for:
- Teaching multiple core subjects for their assigned grade
- Managing the academic, behavioural, and emotional development of students
- Acting as the primary point of contact between the school and parents
Primary & Middle School Coordinators will be responsible for:
- Overseeing academic delivery, classroom practices, and teacher coordination
- Ensuring curriculum implementation, discipline consistency, and quality standards across grades
Both roles require alignment with the school’s values, strong leadership or classroom presence, and adherence to CBSE / international best practices in education.
Key Responsibilities: Academic & Teaching Responsibilities (HRT)
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across all core subjects as per curriculum guidelines.
- Design age-appropriate lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, and learning activities.
- Implement differentiated instruction to address diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress using formative and summative methods and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records, assessments, and progress reports.
- Develop students’ foundational skills, critical thinking, and independent learning habits.
Classroom & Student Management
- Maintain a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom environment.
- Establish effective classroom routines, transitions, and time management.
- Address student behaviour in a firm, fair, and empathetic manner.
- Implement school discipline and behaviour policies consistently.
- Encourage respect, responsibility, and positive peer interactions.
- Identify academic, behavioural, or emotional concerns early and coordinate with leadership or counsellors.
Homeroom & Pastoral Responsibilities (HRT)
- Act as the primary mentor and guardian for the assigned class.
- Monitor student well-being, attendance, punctuality, and participation.
- Build strong teacher–student relationships to ensure emotional security.
- Support personal development, values education, and life skills.
- Handle minor conflicts and support constructive conflict resolution.
Academic Coordination Responsibilities (For Coordinators)
- Supervise and support Homeroom Teachers and subject teachers across Primary & Middle School.
- Ensure curriculum alignment, lesson quality, and academic consistency across grades.
- Monitor classroom practices, lesson planning, and assessments.
- Support teacher development through mentoring, feedback, and academic reviews.
- Coordinate academic calendars, assessments, and reporting schedules.
- Act as a link between teachers, school leadership, and parents when required.
Parent Communication & Coordination
- Maintain regular and transparent communication with parents.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings, orientations, and follow-ups.
- Address parent concerns professionally and escalate when required.
- Share student progress, achievements, and improvement areas constructively.
School Engagement & Professional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and leadership for academic planning.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and school events.
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities, assemblies, and initiatives.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and continuous school improvement.
- Maintain professional conduct, punctuality, and adherence to school policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
For Homeroom Teachers (Grades 1–7):
- Bachelor’s degree with B.Ed or equivalent qualification (mandatory)
- Graduation in relevant subject areas preferred
- Prior experience as a Primary / Middle School / Homeroom Teacher is an advantage
- Strong proficiency in English (spoken & written)
- Knowledge of child development, pedagogy, and classroom management
- Ability to manage mixed-ability classrooms effectively
For Primary & Middle School Coordinators:
- Bachelor’s degree with B.Ed / M.Ed preferred
- Proven experience in academic coordination or leadership roles
- Strong curriculum planning and teacher mentoring skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
