Elementary Classroom Teacher - 2nd Grade
Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment

About Our School
Carl J. Lamb Elementary School is a public elementary school located in Springvale, Maine. Founded in 1990, we have been a cornerstone of the Sanford School Department community for 35 years. We proudly serve approximately 400 students from Pre-K through 4th grade, and our dedicated team of teachers and support staff work together to ensure high expectations for every learner.

School Structure & Programs
Our school includes two Pre-K classrooms and an average of four classrooms per grade K to 4. With a new self-contained Pre-K classroom joining us this year, we'll have three resource rooms and eight self-contained special education classrooms serving a wide range of learners, from functional life skills programs to higher cognitive and ability levels across Pre-K–4.
