Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson presentations that facilitate active learning
- Develops schemes of work, lesson presentations and tests that are in accordance with established procedures
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
- Provide appropriate and timely feedback on work
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Proven classroom experience working with children at the elementary level, especially within early childhood education or childhood development programs.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development principles across core subjects such as literacy education and math
- Experience with working with all students and implementing behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used for instructional purposes
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Ability to manage a classroom environment confidently while fostering an inclusive atmosphere that supports diverse learners
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment techniques to monitor student progress accurately
- Skills in proofreading, writing skills, lesson planning, tutoring, and library services are highly valued
Pay: $48,387.00 - $92,662.00 per year
