Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson presentations that facilitate active learning
• Develops schemes of work, lesson presentations and tests that are in accordance with established procedures
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
• Provide appropriate and timely feedback on work
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
• Participate in department, school, and parent meetings
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
• Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
• Proven classroom experience working with children at the elementary level, especially within early childhood education or childhood development programs.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development principles across core subjects such as literacy education and math
• Experience with working with all students and implementing behavior management strategies
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used for instructional purposes
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Ability to manage a classroom environment confidently while fostering an inclusive atmosphere that supports diverse learners
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment techniques to monitor student progress accurately
• Skills in proofreading, writing skills, lesson planning, tutoring, and library services are highly valued

Pay: $48,387.00 - $92,662.00 per year
