Grade 2 Teacher Long Term Substitute

Position: Grade 2 Classroom Teacher - Long Term Substitute Location: Brookside Elementary School Schedule: January 2026 - February 2, 2026 - 30-hours/weekSalary: TBDTo Start: Immediately Qualifications: Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Teacher License License - certified regular education teacher Pre-K-2Working knowledge of the Massachusetts Common Core Standards.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Excellent computer/technology skills with the ability to integrate technology in lessons.Excellent classroom management skills and experience with behavior management plans.Ability to differentiate instruction across all curriculum areas for all learners.Ability to use assessments and data to inform instruction.Ability to utilize various computer software programs student database (x-2)Ability to create innovative lessons using interactive technology.Ability to collaborate with colleagues and ability to function as part of a team.Experience and/or knowledge working in a Co-Teaching Model.Experience working with English Learners and students with special needs preferred.Experience working with elementary school aged children required.Willingness to collaborate with colleagues as a team approach and participate in school events.Knowledge of and experience with comprehensive literacy and math programs (Illustrative Math and ST math) which provide appropriate differentiated instruction for all learners.Knowledge or experience with Responsive Classroom Philosophy.Knowledge of Aspen Student Based Information System preferred.
