Grading and Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Kumon Math and Reading Center of Long-Beach Stearns is seeking part-time assistants with excellent Math and Reading skills. We are searching for bright, motivated, outgoing, friendly, and qualified individuals with EXCELLENT reading and/or math skills and a desire to help students reach their full potential in a fast-paced team oriented environment also with ability of Grade homework/class work quickly and accurately.

This is an excellent opportunity for high school seniors, college students, retired educators, and people who are seeking a second part-time job.

Qualifications
- Applicant must be able to work: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

- Long-term commitment a MUST (minimum of 6 months, 1 year preferable, this is a year-round part-time job)

- PREFERENCE given to candidates with prior Kumon or tutoring experience and/or university degree in relevant field of study

- Good instructional skills, an ability to observe, understand, and communicate with children

- Ability to convey ideas and concepts in a simple and clear manner to children

- Responsible, reliable, punctual, able to multi-task and follow directions
