Grading/Milling Superintendent

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee grading and asphalt milling projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction management processes. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidate must have a strong understanding of fine grading and paving operations.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Manage and supervise construction teams, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
• Review project specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols (OSHA regulations).
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship are maintained.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising teams on-site.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Knowledge of quality control processes within the construction industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
