Graduate Lab Assistant (Technology & Experience Lab)

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and technically skilled 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐛 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 to help operate and manage VRAacademi AI & Metaverse technology lab. If you’re passionate about emerging technologies, love solving technical challenges, and enjoy creating immersive experiences with VR, AR, and interactive tools , this role is for you. This position blends technical management, hands-on setup, and user experience support , demanding both communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

⚙️ 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

🔹 Lab Operations & Setup

• Prepare, configure, and maintain all technologies and equipment.

• Set up and test devices (VR headsets, AR tools, sensors, computers, etc.).

• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of workstations and demo areas.

🔹 Technical Management

• Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs or updates.

• Maintain software updates and calibrations.

• Manage inventory, usage logs, and scheduling of equipment.

🔹 User Experience & Support

• Welcome and guide lab visitors through interactive technologies.

• Provide safe and engaging demonstrations.

• Enhance the visitor experience through support and feedback.

🔹 Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with faculty, researchers, and students on projects.

• Communicate effectively to plan and execute lab activities.

• Suggest improvements to enhance lab operations and user experience.

🎓 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Interactive Media, IT, or related field.

• Passion for emerging tech (VR/AR, robotics, AI, simulation, etc.).

• Experience with technical equipment or lab environments preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.

🧠 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬

• Familiarity with VR/AR systems (Oculus, HTC Vive, etc.).

• Basic understanding of hardware, networking, and software configuration.

• Customer service or experience facilitation background.

• Ability to create clear documentation and training materials.
