Job Description
- Collecting documents and information, and addressing requirements for different entities including CHEDS, MOPA, OIE, CAA, and WSCUC. • Generating statistical reports on student enrollment, alumni, financial support, diversity of students and other statistics as requested. • Coordinating the review of student master’s theses and doctorate dissertations. • Coordinating with library and other units at UAEU on different tasks including scholarworks, embargo on theses and dissertations, and exit clearance of students. • Coordinating different activities for the professional and personal development of graduate students including workshops, social activities, trips, and various events and meetings for the students and program coordinators. • Updating forms, guidelines, handbooks, templates, and CGS portal. • Supervising the design and development of newsletters and video clips about the experience of graduate students and alumni. • Preparing the Annual Report, Graduate Studies policies and procedures, and other documents. • Compiling student achievements such as awards and international experience and preparing announcement about student achievements. • Training graduate student assistants to help with formatting student theses/dissertations. • Screening and selecting student assistants and assigning tasks to them. • Coordinating the review of abstracts for the UAE Graduate Student Research Conference, an annual event hosted by one of the universities in the country and UAEU is part of the organizing committee.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate academic discipline. • Minimum of 15 years of experience in an administrative role. • Experience in a student and administrative support role at a program, department, or college level in a university is preferred. • Experience in graduate education administration is desirable.
