Graduate Trainee

Calix is seeking a highly motivated and talented intern with programming experience in the Java/J2EE stack. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an eagerness to learn, and be an engineering graduate preferably in computer science or a related field. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that enhance your learning and business experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze requirements.
• Assist in the design and development of scalable and reliable data pipelines.
• Work with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, AWS/GCP.
• Clean, transform, and aggregate data from various sources into usable formats.
• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines for large datasets.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability.
• Document processes and prcedures for internal teams.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduated in 2025 / 2024 with BE / BTech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiar with data engineering concepts and technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Presto, Dataflow, DataStream and databases such as MYSQL or PostgreSWL / Alloy DB
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and querying techniques.
• Strong foundation in programming languages like scala, Java or Python.
• Understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions like Google BigQuery.
• Familiar with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the data domain.
• Must understand basic computer programming concepts, data structures and object-oriented programming.
• Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in a virtual environment.
