Graduate Trainee – Supply Chain

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Graduate Trainee to join our Supply Chain Department and support the team in procurement, supplier coordination, customer dispatch updates, material planning, and reporting activities. The trainee will receive structured on-the-job training across various supply chain functions to develop a strong foundation in supply chain management and support the team in driving efficiency, accuracy, and timely execution of activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Understand the company’s supply chain process, systems, and objectives through structured training.

•Assist in preparing and issuing Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers and follow up for order confirmation.

•Support in coordinating with suppliers to track delivery status of materials and escalate delays where required.

•Act as a point of contact for customers for day-to-day dispatch updates, sharing dispatch plans, coordinating logistics, and ensuring alignment on delivery schedules.

•Assist in preparing and maintaining reports such as Open Purchase Order Report and Shortage Report for management review.

•Work closely with internal teams for PR (Purchase Requisition) processing and PO changes.

•Support the team in monitoring supplier performance on quality and delivery timelines.

•Assist in data entry, documentation, and preparation of procurement and supply chain MIS reports.

•Learn and support ERP/MRP system transactions and updates.

•Participate in continuous improvement activities within the department.

• Perform other tasks as assigned during the training period.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Commerce / Business Administration / Logistics or equivalent.

•Fresher or up to 1 year of internship/industry exposure in supply chain/logistics preferred.

•Good analytical and problem-solving ability.

•Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); willingness to learn ERP systems.

•Good communication and coordination skills.

•Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.

•Exposure or understanding of APQP processes and ISO 9001:2015 / IATF 16949 standards will be an added advantage.

Physical Requirements:

•Occasional supplier visits as part of training.

•Minimal travelling required; 90% office-based role.

•Should possess own vehicle and/or valid driving license.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
