Grain Division Manager

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the grain division, ensuring efficient and effective processing and management.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance division growth and profitability.
  • Manage and lead a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and Superior Ag policies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends and analyze data to make informed decisions regarding purchasing and sales strategies.
  • Prepare and manage the division's budget, monitoring expenses and optimizing financial performance.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of grain products.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with grain storage, handling, and transportation.
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to align goals and achieve company-wide objectives.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as directed by the CEO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grain industry operations or management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of grain market trends and commodity trading.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the grain industry.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with inventory management and logistics.
  • Familiarity with grain handling equipment and facilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-related software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
