Grant Accountant

As a dynamic agency involved in community-driven marketing initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, we manage a variety of restricted funds and sponsorships. We need an expert to ensure that every riyal granted is tracked, optimized, and reported with absolute transparency.

The Role: Grant Accountant

This is a high-responsibility role that sits at the intersection of financial management and project success. You will be the financial guardian of our funded projects, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of stewardship and donor trust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fund Stewardship: Maintain comprehensive accounting records for all grants, ensuring expenditures align with specific donor restrictions and project timelines.
• Compliance & Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for grantors and stakeholders, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely submission.
• Budget Monitoring: Work closely with project managers to track "Actual vs. Budget" spending, providing early warnings on potential over-spends or under-utilization.
• Audit Readiness: Lead the preparation for grant-specific audits, maintaining meticulous documentation and an iron-clad audit trail.
• Proposal Support: Assist the business development team by developing realistic project budgets for new grant applications and sponsorship proposals.

Who You Are

• The Professional: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or CMA) is highly preferred.
• The Specialist: 3+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 1-2 years specifically focused on grant management, non-profit accounting, or project-based funding.
• The Regulatory Guru: Familiarity with IFRS and a solid understanding of Qatar’s financial landscape and NGO/CSR reporting requirements.
• Software Savvy: Highly proficient in Excel and experienced with accounting software (NetSuite, Odoo, or similar ERPs).
• Detail-Oriented: You have a "zero-error" mindset and the ability to manage multiple overlapping funding cycles simultaneously.
