We are seeking a talented and experienced Grant Writer to join our team and help secure funding to support our initiatives.
Job Overview:
The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other grant-making organizations. This role requires excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the grant application process. The ideal candidate will have experience in securing grants related to housing, homelessness, and social impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research: Identify and research potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other organizations that align with Boxabl’s mission and goals.
- Proposal Writing: Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents that effectively communicate the needs and goals of Boxabl’s housing projects.
- Grant Management: Manage the grant application process from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met and all required documents are submitted accurately and on time.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the project management, finance, and executive teams to gather necessary information and ensure proposals align with organizational goals and capabilities.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit progress reports, final reports, and any other required documentation to funders. Maintain detailed records of grant applications, awarded grants, and reporting schedules.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations, funders, and stakeholders. Attend meetings, workshops, and events to network and stay informed about funding opportunities and trends.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and securing funding, preferably in the housing, homelessness, or social services sectors.
Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex project concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
